Use Granola through Slack with Giga.

Granola ships an official MCP server that exposes meeting notes, transcripts, and folders as structured tools.

1. Click "Connect Granola" — Operator opens a browser window for OAuth.
2. Sign in to your Granola account; the server registers Operator as a client automatically (Dynamic Client Registration), so no client ID/secret is required.
3. Approve the requested scopes. The access token is stored in your vault and mirrored into ~/.claude.json under mcpServers.granola.

Once connected, AI tools can search your meeting notes, browse folders, extract action items and decisions, and answer questions grounded in your meeting history.

Notes:

• Authentication is per-user only. There is no API key or service account flow for MCP — each user authenticates individually.
• For workspace-wide programmatic access, use the Granola API directly instead.

OAuth 2.0 — self-onboarding

Point your MCP client at the server URL and approve access in the browser. The server accepts a Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD), so the client authenticates with its own hosted URL as the client_id — nothing to register.

Granola API key In the Granola desktop app, go to Settings → Connectors → API keys, click Create new key, choose the note access scopes, then click Generate API Key. On Enterprise plans, a workspace admin must first enable member API access scopes in Settings → Workspace → General → API access for members. See Granola API introduction and Granola API help page.
